My facebook account will be temporarily deactivate not delete

grace bailhache facebook desactivate temporarily

As you know, I’m still recovering, so I had to change my schedule programming on the blog lately. This article for example was not expected, but given the private messages I got on Facebook after announcing that « my account will be temporarily deactivate », I rather do a quick article, to which I could link those who would like more explanations.

Dear readers, although I’m concerned by privacy, fortunately (or unfortunately) there’s no dramas behind this decision, no privacy issues, neither unconscious Addiction, Facebook envy, jealousy or gossip, no breakup either. I know all the huge benefits of Facebook as a solopreneur.  The reason for « my desactivation » is very simple, I have to take a break on the internet, and since my Facebook presence is totally rely to my blog, I have no reason to maintain inactive account, that why, I decided to desactivate my account.

Note that I referred to deactivate not deleteing it. Facebook does allow you to completely delete your account, but they’d much rather you just deactivate it instead. When you deactivate your account, Facebook saves all of your settings, photos, and information in case you decide to reactivate your account. Your information isn’t gone—it’s just hidden. No one will be able to contact you on Facebook or view the things you’ve shared, including your Timeline, status updates, photos, and so on. If you decide that you’d like to return to Facebook, you’ll still be able to reactivate your account and recover your old information. If you want to reactivate it, all you have to do is log in — it’s that simple.

I can’t tell you exactly, how long  this facebook desactivation will last, however you could always call or email me. I know a lot of you are not on Facebook, but I never really asked why. So let me know your reasons in the comment bellow, and for those of you who are on Facebook, what do you think about deactivating your account? Have you ever tried it? Can’t wait to read your thoughts !
