Vintage Halloween at Moulin Rouge -Postcard Friendship Friday #192

grace bailhache postcard frienship halloween paris vintage

Guess who’s back ? Not for long unfortunatelly, I’m still too busy to be back for the usual new blog posts, but it’s Halloween and I wanted to share with my fellow bloggers and postcards lovers this vintage Moulin Rouge for a « Redoute masquée » which was a kind of  » High society masquerade party » while the simple « bals » were more for working class people at that time. I already post a vintage postcard that feature the famous  La Goulue.

Back Halloween, as I told some of you, we don’t celebrate it here like in the US. When I was child I loved the « mardi gras » because it was the occasion to masquerate at school, nowadays I saw kids doing Halloween at school at well, but that all, as far as I know. I went to an Halloween cocktail party yesterday, I’ll probably publish the picture tomorrow or next week, I’m waiting for my girl friend to email me her, I didn’t have my phone with me.

Just in case, you didn’t saw them, you can check the postcard I have received after my call Would you send me a postcard ? I put some of the english readers here  Travelling home thanks to your postcards and the french readers are here : Grace Bailhache vous remercie pour les cartes postales. In those posts, I thank you all and I was sorry not to be able to reach one of two persons, I hope it’s just a question of time.

Postcard friday friendshipNow joining Beth and some others at the Postcard Friendship Friday.

Today some of us went to leave flowers on their graves their loved ones, mine are not here, but I did it virtually as I use to, in my mind. And you ?

I wish you all a very nice friday !

  1. I don’t like very much Halloween but your card is nice. What is that you really like with Halloween Grace ?

    1. Ooops Michel…How can I explain to you. Well, I’m curious about a lot of things and Halloween is just one of them…It’s not like I’m celebrating every year you see…I did this year because I’m involved with a non-profit organisation which helps kids for school, otherwise, I don’t think I would have…I did enjoy the disco halloween party I was invited to on halloween night, but it was more to pleased someone than a real passion.

    1. Yes, I’m old fashion Jérôme. Thank you I hope your sunday as nice as well.

  2. Halloween is very popular in Montreal and I like walking with my friends that night. Your card is very french and glamour. I hope you enjoy your halloween too.

    1. Merci ma paulette. I’m so happy to see your gravatar here after all this time. See you on FB.

  5. HELP!! I have been getting emails from you ever since I commented on your post. I can’t read French and don’t know how to stop the emails!

    1. Hello….

I really don’t how I could help you. This is the first time that something like this is reported to me. I’m gonna ask to the others persons that came here, if they also face this problem.

The only thing I can do by now is to delete your comment, if you think that will help you.
