Guess who’s back ? Not for long unfortunatelly, I’m still too busy to be back for the usual new blog posts, but it’s Halloween and I wanted to share with my fellow bloggers and postcards lovers this vintage Moulin Rouge for a « Redoute masquée » which was a kind of » High society masquerade party » while the simple « bals » were more for working class people at that time. I already post a vintage postcard that feature the famous La Goulue.
Back Halloween, as I told some of you, we don’t celebrate it here like in the US. When I was child I loved the « mardi gras » because it was the occasion to masquerate at school, nowadays I saw kids doing Halloween at school at well, but that all, as far as I know. I went to an Halloween cocktail party yesterday, I’ll probably publish the picture tomorrow or next week, I’m waiting for my girl friend to email me her, I didn’t have my phone with me.

Ah çà fait plaisir Merveille, ne t’en fais, je sais que tu aimes les cartes et ce n’est pas grave si tu postes en anglais ici. Celle-ci m’a été envoyé il y’a des années par un ami que j’aimais énormément, et j’en avais acheté une aussi, que j’ai récemment envoyé dans le cadre du posscrossing. I love your Mouln Rouge postcard, Grace. Are you thinking of trading it? For sure you have had it since at least this summer. Last weekend we went to Baton Rouge, in Louisiana.
Nice too that you could come back for Halloween. It seems that no ghosts or gobblins captured you. Our granddaughter, age four, went trick-or-treating in London last night. Last year Mrs. Jim and I went with her. This year just Mom and Big Sister. Dad had to stay home to give out candy.
