Thanks to my motivational mondays, I got a lot of questions about how to adopt a growth mindset to achieve business goals and improve lifestyle. I like to quote John Assaraf on it : “you can be interested, or you can be committed“. I heard that, during the full night webinar « The Neuroscience of Financial Success: Money2brain » I’ve attempt on december 2012. In few words, what I learn that night was that, the biggest factor of our success is our mind. So the mindset is the only thing blocking us from radical success. But the good new was that being commited to change was the key to be able to manifest our entrepreneurial dreams and create the life we deserve. I had a major goal to achieve last year and it was to beat the beast and get back to business in 2014 and totake my business to the next level in 2015. So I did for the first part. I’m grateful for all the blessings I have received during this huge year. Despite fear, adversity, God gaves me the strengh to master my thinking,to accept the worst possible issue and to deal with it. I had to believe in me and took action for all that depends on me and I leave the rest to my father.
Here are the 7 habits I adopted that helps me to make the best of 2013 and achieve my goals.
1/ My 10 minutes workout
I never stick to a fitness routine before last year. I always started motivate and end up two months later giving up. But this time, I was totally commited and that why I changed everything. My goal was to start small and to do a 10 minutes cardio 3 time a week. I started by doing 2 minutes the first week with a very speed workout, and then I increase the time every 15 days. I choose to always do it at the same time, after and before another routine, and that how I made it. Today, I can do a daily routine some week and it’s awesome, I managed to stay fit and healthy beside the treatment and that also helps my productivity, I never stop bloging the all year.
2/ The 10 minutes meditation
This is the first step of my morning routine. I have choosed to meditate every day to open up my mind to the best and positive though as soon as I wake up. It was the perfect moment for me to just focus on the good vibes I needed to fulfill during the entire day. I choose to always meditate with this headline : every day is a new day and you can fullfill it with what you want and need. The goal year was just to focus on the silent. The workout always came after the meditation.
3/ The vision board
If you don’t know it yet is a collection of images or notes of the things that you want to do, be, or have in your life, that you attached to a board and placed somewhere that you can see it every day as a reminder of your deepest desires. I build my vision board and place it first on my background computer and then also had a copy that I had near my bed to have a look on it every morning when I wake up.
4/ MY 10 minutes of visualisation
After the workout, I had my visualisation time. The day I didn’t exercice, my visualisation moment came immediatly after the meditation. So the order wasn’t really moved. Those minutes of visualisation were my personal trip intro my goals and dreams. And having near me the vision boad helped me to get into it quicker at the beginning, after a while, I didn’t need it anymore. I could jump into my personal scenario with more details and reality.
5/ The Meeting book
I normally used a classic agenda, but last year, I knew I’ll have to adapt to a new situations and that how I decide to add a meeting book. It’s fantastic because, I just had the fill blanck, to the top the date and name of meeting (private, business or medical it’s doesn’t matter), on the left, I had special notes and the right was dedicace to the actions. I bought another this year, because, this meeting book is a must have for me to measure the actions in concret terms.
6/ Daily gratitude journal
Inspires by Sarah Ban Breathnach, author of Simple Abundance discovered on Oprah soul series, I decide to do a gratitude daily journal. The principle was very simple, I had write down five things I was grateful for each day before going to sleep, and that really made the difference.
7/ The pleasure bucket list
Well, we all know the typical bucket list which is normally composed by all the stuff one want to accomplish before expiring. Right ? So I decide that I will change a little bit this principle, and create a pleasure bucket list with only small things that I dreamt to do and never try out, and every time I succeed on achieving all my weekly goal, I picked up a little paper from my bucket list and did it as a reward.
Those are the 7 habits that helps me to achieve my goals, do you have any to share ?
