This Friday is not an usual one, because althought I’m very excited about this huge meme I join every week for a month or more now, I’m not sure that it’s will be running today. Our host Beth is preparing something important for her health and I send her all my best wishes and I think the best to honore this appointment she starts and maintain it’s to continue no matter what. I hope I don’t sound melodramatic, it’s absolutely not the point. Sometimes my words in english doesn’t really expres what I mean. But let’s move forward ans keep the joy in home, our Postcard Friendship Friday. Last week, I shared the sailor romance with you, and since I don’t have any idea about this month theme, I have choose a vintage postcard received two years ago from my friend Nicolai. You will probably hear about him again, not only was he, a dear friend but also a pen friend and a postcard lover. I love this vintage postcard of Eiffel tower in Paris because it’s shinny and so full of details about a party organised obviously by an assurance company with so many attractions and special games. It’s marvellous to have this « review » of a postcard publicity.
If Beth open the meme, I will add the blog post link* for you to see others entries of thePostcard Friendship Friday!
Happy friday everyone !

Hello Grace,
Early is good too. This card is a little bit too full of informations. My advice : you don’t have to justify/explain your opinion/choices. You like it, you do it. Period. Where do you purchase vintage postcards in Paris (intra muros) ? I’m looking for vintage letters Guitry or Hugo love letters for instance. I also look for images about The world’s fair Exposition Universelle of 1900.

Thanks for the advice coach, I’ll try to remember that. Not sure if you’ll find the letters you want, but le Marche Aux Puces of Clignancourt remain the best adress for me, but I don’t know if the best one is still there down by Jules Valles divison. If not you can still try to negociate with « les bouquinistes » down the Seine River . I sent you the mail of one of my friends who is fond of this period, he knows that you’ll contact him.
It is really your passion Grace ? I can’t imagine Paris in another time then now. Did you like Woody Allen movie Midnight in Paris about past, present etc etc…
I can’t say passion, I don’t collect them. It’s more a great great pleasure. Midnight in Paris is not my favorite Allen, très « carte postale » but it’s a charming movie and Marion Cotillard is lovely. We could talk about it, I have seen an old movie with Gerard Philippe that probably ( surely )has inspired Allen. To be continued…
wonderful card!
i was too rushed yesterday to get a PFF post online…dropped by today and saw that beth hadn’t posted. i do hope all is well with her…good for you keeping it going! i’ll try to post next week too…whether beth is able to or not…see you then!

Thank you Deborah. Actually I just connected so you gave me the news, I’ll leave her a message and visited the others the same just in case. So I’ll see you in your blog too. Yes I really want to continue also and I’m sure she’ll be fine.
This Paris is not my favorite Paris but it is a nice choice Grace
Too bad (sniff) sounds like you will tell me more about it…
I don’t see the charm of old Paris but you have a point talking about publicity. There a lesson there.

Oooo you too Xavier, too bad. Tell me more about the lesson okay ?
Is it simply the art of doing different commercials in a paper or others ways you see Grace.
Ohhh Xavier, now I see what you meant .
I’m in love with Paris. Cute vintage postcard Grace. Love the story. Xo
Me too honey, maybe we’ll meet one day in Paris ? See you around Isobel !
I would love to, what are you favorite place in Paris ?
OMG what a huge question Isobel, what do you mean exactly ? Favorite place to leave, to dream, to eat, to read, to shop ??? I have too many places I love. I should probably do a vlog or a video about it…
