Monday tip for small, home & micro business owners. Theses are the Three top mistakes that I have noticed as a micro business owner working with and for others small and micro business owners. I have made some myself before and turning mistakes into creative lessons and sales are the benefics I get and I want to share it with you. Once you are into it, you will notice that it’s not always about your products or the compensation plan, it’s most of the time about your mindset, attitude, and utilizing marketing techniques.
The #1 mistake small, home & micro business owners make in their businesses is that often times they get caught up in the WHAT ( What exactly your trying to do or who you are trying to reach ? What is the biggest benefit someone gets with working with you? What is your target markets desired outcome? What is your goal in all this?) and they don’t ask the WHY. These questions can be turn in why questions. « Why are you doing it » ? After you ask THE WHY this tends to help you define the what.
The #2 mistake small, home & micro business owners make in their businesses is to spend too many time on the research and business plan. Of course, You will need to conduct extensive research, but make a routine plan to be sure not to spend forever doing it. It’s obvious that every day you spend researching is another day in which you do not own a business or earn any money.
The #3 mistake small, home & micro business owners make in their businesses is believing that simply being excellent at what they do is enough to succeed. Nodody have all the talent so for what so don’t be afraid to seek out a mentor, a coach, a webdesign to help or guide you. You can’t rely on your skill as a professionnal of your niche to make the sales. You need to be equally skilled at design for your website, marketing and sales if you want to succeed. You NEED to learn how to market and sell your services. You will save time and money while spending some (actually if you know what you need, you don’t spend a fortune and you give yourself a better chance to reach the level of success you want in business.
All that said, Try to keep track of your progress by setting goals and don’t delay in turning your ideas into reality. You shouldn’t just assume something will work, get it implemented right away.

Well of course now that you mentionned it, I remember this story. It’s human to do that of course, and I guess we all have this kind of reactions when its come to hire someone and work with someone. Being objectif is not an natural state, so taking the time to choose the right person is not as easy as its seems. You are right. I need to think about it properly to give some exemples.
