SWS : Gratitude journal from green to red

grace bailhache gratitude journal motivation

Last week nostalgia Are good days at Mouffetard’s gone ?  is no more in the air, I look into  the future today. Although I knew how important it was to be thankful, I learned only a few years ago the significance of saying it out loud. I had learned on an Oprah’s soul series while she was talking to Sarah Ban Breathnach author of Simple Abundance, about being grateful and writing it down. At first I thought well it’s nice but not really for me. It’s only when I did my mind switch last december that I seek again for this video and challenged myself to carry a special gratitude journal that will mixed up both my personal and professional life. And so..I did… I took a very small note book because I wasn’t really sure to have much to say, and what a surprise, suddenly I started to notice small details and think that actually I probably took for granted before. Such as someone helping you to carry a bag for instance…And when I planned to start a my motivationals mondays on march, my sister offers me this very girly green note book to write down my topic and also as a new gratitude journal. Now  I’m starting my third journal and I can’t wait to fill it.

This weekend is a busy one,  it’s saturday morning here, I’m ready for our picnic day at the lake with some kids and we should be back  tomorrow. Hopefully you’re spending a relaxing weekend  with family, friends, or anyone else you’re thankful to have in your life.

/Update/ Well it’s sunday I entering late to the meme, but better late then never when it’s come to share some love, read some good stuff from all over the world. Who could resist such a proposal ? Not me, I’m running to post my link on cate’s blog here Six word Saturday.

Happy SWS everyone and let me know what you’re thankful of today !

  1. Create a Gratitude Journal Every Day it’s good for girl. It’s not differente from the diary my sister had. But for the motivational journal I agree.

    1. Well coach, it’s not so different when I think about it. Yes I try to rest but there’s so much to do…

  3. Very nice post sis, you are really putting yourself out there in a authentic, and often vulnerable way. I don’t carry a daily journal, but I do often do my thankful. One have to know that gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, it turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. I’am grateful for what I am and have. I’m grateful to have you in my life.

    1. Humm…I didn’t expect this. Thank you Alphonsine. So do I dear to have you.

  4. Hi, Grace. ☺ Your gratitude journal is a great idea! My kids and I keep a gratitude jar. We write down the things we’re thankful for on small slips of paper, then put them in a pretty jar I keep on the counter. We plan to read the papers on December 31 and remember all the things that made the year special.

I hope you have a lovely week.

    1. Hello Dana, that sounds great too. I think I will read my journals at the end of year too. Thanks for stopping by and for the share dear !

  5. One of the things I am thankful for, dear Grace, is you! I treasure your kind comments on my blog. Then, I am grateful to Cate and Six Word Saturdays for giving me the opportunity to connect with you and other lovely, caring people.

Have a lovely week yourself. xx

    1. Thank you so much dear Rosemary, I do share this feeling of yours, it’s incredible things that can happen, people you can meet when you change your mind and change your thought…It’s litteraly change my life.

  6. Hi Grace ~~ The Gratitude Journal is a good idea, Grace. We all need one. Mrs. Jim found me a pair of small mole skin note books that would be good for that. But I told her not to get me one. I’ve had them beore and they get lost, then every thing I had in there to rely on was lost. Three times because I had three notebooks that got lost.

I am glad that you lined up with Six Word Saturday also. The longer you do it the more readers you will be getting. Thank you for peeking in again. Yes, we are still in London. Four weeks this Friday.
