If you have a product or service, you should consider plugins and widgets that really add interactivity to your website. Speak Pipe is one of them. I recently discovered it and installed it of a client that needed it during Valentine’s days of the Woman day celebration. Actually what this plugin do is that is allows you to put a voice mail message box right on the side of your website or blog and your readers just have to click the tab to record a message for you. By giving your visitors the opportunity to ask a question, leave a testimony without having to leave your website or blog.
Kiminou Caroline used it as a part of her campaign strategy to engage, retain and remember the existing clients of her lists, to be more engaging with them. What she did after that, also had a huge impact, is that she sends a follow-up email few weeks after the first valentine’s contest specifically to the customers who bought cards gifts and she will do the same at the end of march for the second list. Be aware that the follow up email doesn’t have to be long or product heavy, of course make to again include links to your social sites. Her customers really appreciate her personal, un-salesy tone and 45% made new orders.
Now the tricky part about having this voicemail on your website is that you have to you to convince your visitors with a good call to actions by giving them a good reason and the only way to do so it’s to make a proposal that they can’t refuse.
The installation and set up of the plugin is easy and quick.
Step 1 : go to SpeakPipe.com and click on Get Started.
Step 2 : you’ll set up an account with your email address and password.
Step 3 : you can customize the color and wording of your tab (I did so for Kiminou’s site)
Step 4 : you’ll be given a copy and paste code to install the widget on your website or blog.
Next thing you know, the big tab is installed and you can test it. Go ahead, click on it and give it a try.
To listen your messages you just login to your SpeakPipe account and you will be able to listen to all your messages right there on the website. There no phone needed and the best thing is that you can also download the MP3 files. Isn’t it fabulous ? Kiminou Caroline decided to save thoses files in order to use them for reference while working on client personalized cards.
So do you know of any other creative ways to use this cool new widget on your website or blog ?
