Looking fear in the face

grace bailhache quote eleanor roosevelt

« You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience by which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, ‘I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along. » Eleanor Roosevelt 1884 – 1962 (First Lady of the United States from 1933 to 1945)

I’ve red few things about Eleanor Roosevelt and her life, and no doubt she was a special woman for her time, a kind free mind. The quote of this week is just tremendous for me. Indeed, I had experienced more than once this face to face with fear, the first one was something like a small fear, a thrill. But the second one was a deep fear that make you stay awake all nights. So, I do agree, since my last experience I really thought to myself, that since I were still alive, nothing or noone could ever stop me but myself of course. This quote is just perfect to end and enlight this week.

1.You can conquer almost any fear if you will only make up your mind to do so. For remember, fear doesn’t exist anywhere except in the mind.
2.Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy.
