Monday quote with Helen Keller

helen keller quote mondayIt’s a been a long time since my last inspirational quote right ? Since you guys appreciate the Monday quote with Malcom X, my choice for today is an Helen Keller quote : Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence. Some of you who followed my Facebook page before I temporarely desactivate it, might remember I often published several quotes from Helen Keller, but for those of you who don’t know who she is. Helen Keller was an American author and political activist. She was the first deafblind person to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree. She campaigned for women’s suffrage, workers’ rights, and socialism, as well as many other leftist causes. She was a strong person who became a loving and wonderful person, I often use her quotes in my meditations sessions.

The way I understand this quote and use it, is that OPTIMISM and HOPE are necessary when we want to reach our goals. Imagining ourseles succeeding and how great it will make us feel to attain them are the first steps to actually achieve them. Now we will also need CONFIDENCE to achieve our goals. The way I see it in this case, confidence is the ability to also imagine the obstacles that might stand in our ways and be prepare to deal with those potential setbacks by building a plan to overcome these barriers. According to me that how we can stay confidence while walking to achieve our goals.

What are your thoughts about optimism ? Let’s me know also if you knew about Helen Keller.
