Break features : Daniel Pink, etiquette and Guy Kawasaki

I already told you that the blog is doing more than a summer break but I also thought that this break could be a huge opportunity for both of us to continue our exchanges even without news blog posts. Indeed, thanks to a word press plugin Tweet Old Post I have tested last year for a client, I thought that we could all benefit from this linking to older (forgotten?) posts. I give them new life by just placing a link here and you can discover useful informations on posts that you’ve never saw before.  (can I get an Amen?) Smiles !

So let move forward with those posts :

  • The first one is a post about Daniel Pink on Oprah soul series talking about his book A Whole New Mind: Why Right-Brainers Will Rule the Futures. Since this post I have read the book in english (hard work) and loved it because I’m totally concerned by it and I like the fact that some of his examples versus recent past, present and futur are really concrete.
  • The second one Sorry, but what ever happened to etiquette ? is a kind of Mag review about a topic that still matters to me. Sadly I could easily rewrite this kind of post because now I had experiment Twitter and Facebook and gosh I’m amazed by the decline of manners. Of course, good manners might be considered « old fashion » by some but I assume my opininon about it.
  • And last but not least Guy Kawasaki 10-20-30 Presentation Rule, it’s a bilingual post, one of my first actually. I was really starting and reading Kawasaki the art of start helps me a lot in many ways. My choice of this presentation rule was inspired by the reality, I made some mistakes and I was before of course knowing about this book and I thought it’s might help.

First break features also means extra bonus for you, here is it : my first blog post in english….

Please comment below to share your thoughts about those topics. I wish you all a nice weekend  !

  1. 1 and 3 made me think a lot. Also 2 but I didn’t change my mind since the last comment and I like it better when you choose more oriented magazines. I can say that I consider Kawasaki rules more like guidelines not rules.

    1. You know what coach. I also thought that you’re first comment were on my website not here. Anyway, thanks for checking all of them.

  2. (can I get an Amen?) what do you mean with this Grace ? Je ne connais pas cette expression. Sure I’ll read all the topic during the week, I start with one.

    1. Grace vous le confirmera sans doute, dans mon souvenir c’est une expression un peu ironique pour demander une confirmation bruyante, un applaudissement ou un assentiment à tout le moins.

      1. @ Xavier : I know you did. Ok, just imagine a Church, a priest, a preach and at the end to have their approval he says « can I get a amen ». Now like a lot of word and expressions they get out of their original context.

        @ Jean-Louis : c’est bien aimable d’avoir pris les devants coach.

  3. You did it. Bravo Grace. I thought that it was too early for you to see the comments. I will not comment some old articles, you can understand. Good work, good idea.

    1. No and yes Alphonsyne. One year already, I can see his gravatar but actually I’m happy to have no comment there to answer.

  4. You give us yet another informative post. I knew a little about Kawasaki but very little, now I will follow more of his work. I will read you every week where else could I find that type of information written in such a perfect approach?

    1. Humm Philippe this is a wonderful compliment. I’m sure you will find something of value elsewhere as well, only it’s won’t be me behind the scene, that the only difference.

    1. I’m working on it Xavier. Why did I say yes to you guys I don’t know. But I will post it don’t worry BUT it will be after the first episode of motivational monday.

  5. Good one to follow Guy Kawasaki. Would love to know yours his latest enchantment the Art of Changing Hearts, Minds, and Actions.

    1. Ouch dear Heather, I haven’t read it, but I will and probably do a review about it.
