SWS : Newyork my heart belongs to daddy

grace bailhache father day new york timesquare

Last week, I shared a Vals at New England Tango Academy, today let’s move to the big apple. Tomorrow is father’s day, I miss mine everyday. My dad told me a lot about Newyork and while I was there last month, I dad the feeling that every step I made, he was with me. My dad teaches me a lot of things, but this particular phrase came back to my ears while I was on Time Square : « you can do everything, you can go everywhere ». Another way to say the sky is the limit

Our song

My song

It’s fun to join this meme, all that’s necessary to participate is to describe your life (or something) in a phrase using just six words, so come in here Six word Saturday

I wish you a lovely saturday !

  1. What a lovely tribute to your father! I stay in touch with my dad daily, but miss my mom who died when I was young.

Oh, I agree with you! Six Word Saturday is a fun meme. I enjoy trying to figure out what six words most describe my week and then reading what others write too.

    1. Some stay, some go, that’s life indeed. It’s not always easy to see all the SWS bloggers, actually I never made it to visit all of them yet. But still the fun is always there.

  2. Love that old Frankie song. I guess I’m lucky that Dad, at 85, is still around. His Polish family give him reason to keep going. Mam died at 65. You never can tell, can you? Hope your weekend’s going well. 🙂

    1. Not you’re right we never can tell, mum is still there and I wish she will have the chance to see my future child. My father was totally into music, jazz, congolese rumba, so Frankie and the Rat Pack was part of it. Well thanks for the wishes, the week end was busier than I expected.

    1. Thank you dear. It’s was very hot around here so we went for a hike on the moutains at least we had fresh air there.

  3. What a lovely tribute, Grace. I totally understand missing your dad daily; I miss mine too!

I am with you on your choice of songs!!

I appreciate your earlier visit to check out my 6WS. It wasn’t posted yet, but it is up now!! 🙂

    1. I’m glad you enjoy my post and songs too. I will check your post a little late as you can see I’m kind of late with the answers here.

  4. I don’t know this city. The songs are significant as well as the content! Your father can be proud of you. Have a nice evening.

    1. Thank you coach, my dad was always proud no matter what. I appreciate your compliment.

  5. Thank you for the post. You know that I don’t care much about a father who abandon us when I was a child but I enjoy reading about yours. I do my best with my daughters and I’m happy to be their hero for now even if Justin Bieber is just one way close. Bonne soirée chère Grace.

    1. I know my dear, your dad story is a tough one but you are a father and it’s seems like you are doing well. Kisses to the girls.

    1. Thanks for stopping by and welcome dear. I try to keep and put into practise this advice.

    1. It’s very nice of you to say so and I do my best to never forget it. Hope you also had a great weekend with your angels !!!

  6. This post make Father’s Day extra special for your dad. I love both songs too big boss ! God Bless you.
