3 best ways to a successful prospecting plan

grace-bailhache-sucessful-prospecting-planDoesn’t matter what your product, service is Prospecting is prospecting! I do a lot of phone calls, what really matters at the end for me to have results is by CONNECTING with real people in the REAL WORLD.  The following 3 ways are what I have found to be the most EFFICIENT. Get good at these, and you’ll be able to make a lot of money no matter how the economy is doing.

1 # way  : Never jump on people and pitch them

What I have noticed is that the more you approach your prospect in a normal friendly and genuine way, the idea you should have is, I’m making a new friend and I could (eventually) solve one of his pain. When you do so, not only you really put real interested in the other person.

2 # way  :  Ask short questions and LISTEN

Since you are making friends, you should just let the conversation proceed naturally. Remember, you’re not a sales person, you are looking to make a friend. So, stay casual in the style of questions, forget the technical jargon, use only words that your children or mother-in-law could understand and explain and most of all, listen to have they have to say about their pain.

3 # way  : Forget about your sale agenda

Never prospect when you really, really, need to make a sale, you can’t help by thinking first of your outcome and when you are focus first on sales, you surely gonna make sales, but less then you could, by just forgetting your sale « agenda ». What you have to keep in mind, is solving a pain and eventually having names or recommandations from the prospect you are talking to. Because at the end, prospecting is a game of numbers, and if you play the right, you always win. Not every conversation is going to lead to a sale the very same day, but what about 2 or 3 the next one ?
